Lutheran Social Services seeks a Crisis Response professional to provide rapid, community-based support to individuals and families experiencing behavioral health or housing-related crises. In this role, you will conduct risk and needs assessments, de-escalate high-stress situations, develop safety plans, and coordinate emergency interventions when needed. You will collaborate closely with LSS behavioral health, housing, and family services teams to connect clients to ongoing care. Responsibilities

  • Respond to crisis calls and referrals, providing immediate assessment, de-escalation, and safety planning for individuals and families
  • Conduct risk assessments for harm to self or others and determine appropriate level of care and community resources
  • Coordinate emergency interventions, including hospitalization, respite, or shelter placement when necessary
  • Collaborate with behavioral health, housing, and community partners to link clients to ongoing services and supports
  • Document all contacts, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in electronic health records
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and staff trainings to enhance service quality
  • Provide brief psychoeducation and support to clients and families around coping skills and community resources
  • Maintain crisis coverage schedule, including some evenings, weekends, or on-call rotations as needed
