Recovery Support Professional
Lutheran Social Services is seeking a compassionate Recovery Support Professional to empower adults facing behavioral health and housing challenges. In this role, you will provide person-centered, recovery-focused support through coaching, skill-building, and advocacy. You will help clients develop independent living skills, connect to community resources, and follow individualized service plans. Working within a mission-driven, faith-based, and client-centered team, you will collaborate with clinicians and case managers, maintain accurate documentation, and support crisis and safety plans. Responsibilities
- Provide direct recovery-oriented support to clients in behavioral health and housing programs
- Coach clients in developing coping skills, independent living skills, and wellness plans
- Support clients in accessing community resources, benefits, and supportive services
- Document services, progress notes, and critical incidents accurately and timely in accordance with agency standards
- Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and community partners to coordinate care
- Model hope, self-advocacy, and empowerment consistent with recovery principles
- Assist with group activities, psychoeducation, and peer support sessions as appropriate
- Ensure client safety, follow crisis and de-escalation protocols, and report concerns promptly
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training to maintain best practices
- Uphold LSS mission, values, confidentiality, and professional and ethical standards
