Job Details:

  • Provide anesthesia coverage across a variety of surgical specialties including general, orthopedics, trauma, plastics, neurosurgery, pediatrics (ages 5 and up), endoscopy, NORA, robotic surgery, gynecology, and ENT

  • No cardiac, OB, or block cases required

  • Assess, prepare, and manage patients for anesthesia care in the perioperative and procedural period

  • Develop and implement individualized anesthetic plans

  • Perform history and physical examinations, obtain informed consent, and conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and post-operative assessments

  • Administer general, regional, epidural, spinal, and IV regional anesthesia as well as monitored anesthesia care (MAC)

  • Perform invasive monitoring and placement including CVP/CVC, intra-arterial lines, and pulmonary artery catheterization

  • Manage airway as needed throughout patient care

  • Operate within a medical direction model with a CRNA to anesthesiologist ratio of 2:1 or 3:1

  • Other anesthesia providers will be present on site during coverage

  • Shift options include 10-hour shifts (8:30 AM - 7:00 PM) or 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with 7:00 AM start on Thursdays)

  • No call requirement

  • No guaranteed hours; all overtime must be approved by department administration

  • Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience required

  • Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required

  • Board certification required (minimum: Certified)

  • Large, academic hospital setting with robust support staff on site
