As a SAF Specialist with the American National Red Cross, you will support military members, veterans, and their families through case management, crisis response, and community outreach. In this mission-driven role, you coordinate emergency assistance, deliver resiliency programs, and connect clients to vital resources. Working closely with volunteers, military partners, and community agencies, you ensure compassionate, culturally competent services that reflect our humanitarian values and commitment to those who serve.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management and emergency assistance to Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) clients and military families.
  • Coordinate and deliver outreach, education, and resiliency programs on installations and in local communities.
  • Respond to emergencies and support disaster and crisis response efforts for military members and their families.
  • Collaborate with community partners, military commands, and internal Red Cross teams to connect clients with resources.
  • Maintain accurate client records, reports, and data in compliance with Red Cross and regulatory standards.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers engaged in SAF and community outreach activities.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop service plans tailored to client and community needs.
  • Facilitate workshops, briefings, and information sessions on Red Cross and SAF services.
  • Ensure culturally competent, trauma-informed, and confidential client interactions.
  • Support program evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
