SAF Specialist

As an SAF Specialist with the American National Red Cross, you will support military members, veterans, and their families through emergency communication, case management, and resource referrals. You will coordinate with military commands, community partners, and Red Cross volunteers to deliver compassionate, mission-driven services. In this hybrid role, you will manage client cases, support outreach events, and uphold our humanitarian values of compassion, collaboration, diversity, and volunteerism.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct Services to the Armed Forces (SAF) support to military members, veterans, and their families.
• Conduct intake, needs assessments, and referrals to internal Red Cross and community resources.
• Coordinate emergency communication messages between military members and their families.
• Support outreach events, briefings, and workshops on Red Cross SAF programs.
• Maintain accurate case records, data entry, and reporting in compliance with Red Cross standards.
• Collaborate with volunteers, community partners, and military installations to expand services.
• Assist in crisis intervention and short-term recovery planning for clients.
• Promote Red Cross programs and ensure culturally competent, inclusive service delivery.
