SAF Specialist

As an SAF Specialist with the American National Red Cross, you will support military members, veterans, and their families through emergency services and compassionate casework. Working within the Emergency Services department, you will verify emergencies, connect clients to critical resources, and collaborate with volunteers and partners to ensure timely assistance. In this mission-driven, hybrid role, you will engage in disaster response, outreach, and education while upholding our humanitarian values of compassion, collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct casework and support to military members, veterans, and their families during emergencies and deployments
• Coordinate emergency services, including verification of emergencies and linkage to community resources
• Collaborate with volunteers and partner agencies to deliver timely, mission aligned assistance
• Maintain accurate case records, documentation, and reports in compliance with Red Cross standards
• Participate in emergency response operations, outreach events, and preparedness activities
• Educate clients and community partners on Red Cross Services to the Armed Forces (SAF) programs
