GEICO is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve auto injury claims with fairness and accuracy. In this role, you will review medical records, liability facts, and policy coverage to determine appropriate claim value, negotiate settlements, and manage litigation in partnership with defense counsel when needed. You will communicate with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and internal teams while documenting all actions in GEICO systems. You'll work in a performance-driven, collaborative environment with strong training, data-driven tools, and clear opportunities for advancement within a nationally recognized insurance leader.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate auto bodily injury claims, gathering statements, records, and supporting documentation
  • Analyze coverage, liability, and damages to determine exposure and claim value
  • Review medical records and bills to evaluate injury severity and relatedness
  • Negotiate fair settlements with claimants, attorneys, and representatives within authority limits
  • Manage litigated claims in partnership with defense counsel, attending mediations or settlement conferences as needed
  • Maintain detailed, accurate claim files and documentation in GEICO systems
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, providers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders
  • Apply GEICO guidelines, state regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and quality
  • Use data and analytics tools to support decision-making and reserve accuracy
  • Participate in ongoing training and contribute to a collaborative, performance-driven team culture
