Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster

GEICO is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve auto liability and injury claims within our Insurance department. In this role, you will review accident reports and medical records, determine coverage and liability, set and adjust reserves, and negotiate settlements in line with company and legal standards. You'll communicate with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, and medical providers while documenting files thoroughly. Responsibilities

• Investigate auto accidents and bodily injury claims using reports, statements, and documentation
• Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages in accordance with policy terms and state regulations
• Review medical records and expenses to assess injury severity and claim value
• Set, monitor, and adjust reserves based on evolving claim facts
• Negotiate fair settlements with claimants, attorneys, and providers within authority limits
• Communicate frequently with policyholders and stakeholders to provide status updates and guidance
• Document claim activity, rationale, and decisions accurately in the claims system
• Collaborate with peers, supervisors, and legal partners on complex or litigated files
• Adhere to company guidelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical, legal, and customer service skills
