Crew Leader

Yellowstone Landscape is hiring a Crew Leader - Tree Care to supervise field crews on commercial tree projects. Lead daily operations for pruning, removals, and plant health care while ensuring strict safety and quality standards. Coordinate work schedules, equipment, and materials, and train crew members on proper climbing, rigging, and chainsaw techniques. Communicate with supervisors and clients on project status, site conditions, and issues. Support a safety-first, team-focused culture with hands-on mentoring and opportunities to grow into higher-level field supervision or operations roles across our commercial landscape services.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily tree care crew operations for pruning, removals, and plant health care
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and use of PPEOperate and oversee use of chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and rigging gear
• Plan work sequences, allocate labor, and coordinate equipment and materials
• Train and mentor crew members on proper tree care and climbing techniques
• Inspect work sites and trees to identify hazards and job requirements
• Maintain quality standards and clean, organized job sites
• Communicate job status, issues, and needs to supervisors and clients
• Complete basic paperwork, time records, and equipment checklists
• Support a positive, team-oriented culture and continuous learning
