Finishing Utility Operator

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a Finishing Utility Operator to support production of high-quality advocacy and communications materials for clients at the intersection of policy, politics, and media. In this role, you will operate and maintain finishing equipment, prepare and inspect materials, and ensure accuracy, quality, and brand consistency under tight deadlines. Working in a collaborative, high-performance culture, you'll partner closely with senior staff, follow rigorous safety and handling standards, and help optimize workflows that power high-impact public affairs and issue-advocacy campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor finishing equipment to support production of client materials and advocacy campaigns
• Prepare, load, and inspect materials for quality, accuracy, and brand consistency
• Perform basic troubleshooting, adjustments, and maintenance on finishing machinery
• Coordinate with account and production teams to meet deadlines and client specifications
• Follow safety, security, and data-handling procedures in a professional services environment
• Document workflows, output, and issues for continuous improvement
• Assist in process optimization to improve efficiency and reduce errors
• Support special projects and rapid-turnaround client requests
