Finishing Utility Operator

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a Finishing Utility Operator to support high-impact public affairs campaigns by operating print finishing and bindery equipment. In this on-site production role, you'll set up and run cutting, folding, laminating, and assembly machines to prepare client-facing materials. You'll inspect output for quality, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and follow strict safety and cleanliness standards. Working closely with account and production teams, you'll help ensure accurate, on-time delivery of strategic communications materials in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor print finishing and binding equipment to support client deliverables
• Set up, calibrate, and adjust machinery for cutting, folding, laminating, and assembly
• Inspect finished materials for quality, accuracy, and consistency with client specifications
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and coordinate maintenance needs
• Follow safety, cleanliness, and equipment handling protocols at all times
• Collaborate with account and production teams to meet deadlines and project requirements
• Document production runs, materials usage, and equipment issues
• Support continuous improvement of finishing processes and workflows
