RN New Grad/Nurse Residency

Sovah Health is hiring new graduate Registered Nurses for our Nurse Residency program in southern Virginia. As an RN Resident, you'll receive a structured transition-to-practice experience with classroom education, simulation, and precepted clinical shifts. Under the guidance of experienced nurses, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based care, perform assessments, administer medications, and support patients and families. Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients under RN supervision and hospital policies
• Participate in Sovah Health's nurse residency curriculum, simulations, and clinical training
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members on care plans
• Perform patient assessments, document findings, and report changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor patient response
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance
• Maintain infection control and safety standards in all clinical activities
• Engage in mentorship, feedback sessions, and ongoing professional development
• Support quality improvement and patient experience initiatives on the unit
• Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
