Orthopedics Teacher

BJC Healthcare, located in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a dedicated Orthopedics Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic team across our esteemed hospitals and care centers. In this role, the Orthopedics Clinical Nurse will specialize in musculoskeletal conditions, working directly with orthopedic surgeons to manage patient care from surgical procedures to rehabilitation, ensuring a quality, integrated approach to health recovery and pain management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality pre- and post-operative care.
• Monitor, assess, and record patient conditions and progress, and adjust care plans based on surgeon feedback and patient needs.
• Administer medications, implement wound care, and provide detailed instructions to patients about post-surgical care and pain management.
• Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and long-term rehabilitation plans.
• Ensure all healthcare regulations, standards, and hospital policies are met during patient care.
