Maintenance
Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI seeks a skilled Maintenance professional to keep our care environments safe, functional, and welcoming. In this hands-on role, you'll perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds for our programs across Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Responsibilities include addressing work orders and urgent repair needs; inspecting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems; coordinating with vendors for specialized repairs; and supporting room setups, moves, and minor renovations. You'll follow strict safety and regulatory standards while collaborating with compassionate, mission-driven teams who serve individuals and families in need. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds across LSS facilities
- Respond to work orders and urgent repair requests to ensure safe, functional environments for clients and staff
- Inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems; report issues and coordinate specialized repairs as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and order in mechanical rooms, storage areas, and exterior grounds
- Document maintenance activities, parts used, and completion status in work order systems
- Support room setup, furniture moves, and minor renovations to meet program needs
- Follow safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines in all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with program staff and vendors to minimize disruption to client services
- Monitor building security features and report hazards or damage promptly
- Participate in on-call rotation or flexible hours as needed for emergencies
