UCHealth seeks a Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist to deliver evidence-based therapy within an integrated, patient-first health system. In this role, you'll provide individual, group, and family counseling; complete biopsychosocial assessments; and develop collaborative treatment plans for diverse patients facing mood, anxiety, trauma, and co-occurring conditions. You'll partner with psychiatrists, medical providers, and care teams to coordinate whole-person care, document in the EHR, and support safe transitions. Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy to patients with behavioral health needs in outpatient and/or inpatient settings
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, develop person-centered treatment plans, and document care in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, nurses, and case managers to coordinate integrated, patient-centered care
- Use evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care) to address mood, anxiety, trauma, and co-occurring conditions
- Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, treatment team meetings, and care transitions planning
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment goals, and provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed
- Educate patients and families on coping skills, community resources, and recovery-oriented care
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards, including confidentiality and quality metrics
- Engage in professional development, supervision, and training to support continuous learning and clinical excellence

- Diagnostic assessment and clinical formulation using DSM-5
- Individual and group psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches)
- Treatment planning and goal setting
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation and charting
- Crisis assessment, intervention, and safety planning
- Interdisciplinary care coordination and case management
- Suicide risk assessment and de-escalation techniques
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology basics and behavioral health conditions
- Motivational interviewing and brief therapy techniques
- Regulatory, ethical, and HIPAA-compliant practice
