Assistant Manager

Zaxby's is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations in our fast-casual chicken restaurant. You'll support the General Manager by supervising shifts, delegating tasks, and ensuring food quality, speed of service, and cleanliness meet Zaxby's standards. Responsibilities include coaching and motivating team members, handling guest concerns with Southern hospitality, managing cash and inventory, and upholding food safety procedures. Ideal candidates bring prior restaurant or retail leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering an enjoyable experience for both guests and staff, with opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations and shift execution
• Supervise, coach, and motivate team members to deliver friendly, efficient service
• Ensure food quality, portioning, and presentation meet Zaxby's standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining, kitchen, and drive-thru environment
• Monitor compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints with professionalism and hospitality
• Support cash handling, deposits, and accurate reconciliation of daily sales
• Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and waste management to control costs
• Help create and manage shift schedules to ensure proper staffing levels
• Train new hires on procedures, service standards, and company culture
