Regional CDL-A Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck to deliver goods to regional destinations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance where required.
• Plan routes efficiently and adhere to predetermined schedules.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secured.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Report defects, accidents or violations and handle paperwork such as bills of lading and inventory counts.

Required Skills

• Profound knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Ability to handle physical workload, strong time management and organizational skills.
• Extensive experience driving large vehicles.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
