Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join a well-established outpatient clinic serving employees and their dependents (ages 2+). This role emphasizes preventative care, chronic disease management, and patient-centered wellness in a collaborative, low-volume environment.
Schedule- Monday & Wednesday: 10:00 AM 6:00 PM (Lunch: 2:00 2:30 PM)
- Tuesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (Lunch: 12 30 PM)
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
- Perform physical exams, health assessments, and screenings
- Deliver preventative care and wellness services
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
- Provide diabetes management (required)
- Conduct well-woman exams
- Address minor behavioral health concerns
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
- Educate patients on health conditions and preventative care
- Collaborate with care team (2 providers + 3 MAs)
- Document care using Athena EMR
- Average patient volume: 8 10 patients per day
- Outpatient-only setting
- Focus on quality care vs. high volume
- Team-based, collaborative care model
- Emphasis on preventative medicine and long-term health outcomes
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland
- Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years of FNP experience
- Recent primary care experience (within last 2 years)
- Experience managing chronic conditions and diabetes
- Ability to perform well-woman exams
- Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements
Preferred:
- DOT certification
- Experience with Athena EMR
- Local candidates
- Credentialing timeline: 2 3 weeks
- Orientation: 4-hour shadow shift prior to start
- Charting System: Athena
