Instructional Assistant

Growing Minds Early Education Programs, a program of ASAP in Asheville, NC, seeks an Instructional Assistant to support farm to school, gardening, and food education activities in early learning settings. Working in the Education, Training & E-Learning department, this role helps lead teachers create engaging, child-centered experiences that connect young children with local farms, gardens, and healthy foods. The Instructional Assistant sets up materials, supports small-group learning, supervises children indoors and outdoors, and models safe, positive behavior. The role collaborates closely with educators and community partners, reinforcing Growing Minds' mission-driven, inclusive culture while helping build lifelong healthy eating habits and stronger local food systems.
