Manager Of Underwriting

Utica First Insurance Company seeks a Manager of Underwriting to lead a team supporting personal and commercial property/casualty products. This role oversees risk selection, pricing, and underwriting guidelines for homeowners, landlords, small business, and specialty lines. The Manager of Underwriting will review complex accounts, ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards, and partner with agents to grow profitable business. You will analyze portfolio performance, coach underwriters, and support product and process improvements while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused culture and maintaining strong relationships with agency partners.
