We have a career-transforming opportunity available for the Chief of Infectious Diseases to lead our integrated Infectious Disease team in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

As the regional Chief for St. Vincent's, you would be reporting to the System Director of Infectious Disease and would lead a department of 4 physicians but would with interact with all 25 Infectious Disease physicians around the system as well.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Continued growth of the Section of Infectious Disease
Establishing communication lines with all services lines to provide support
Mentorship of junior faculty
Oversee the hospital epidemiology program, working closely with Infection Prevention
Work closely with our Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacists
Inpatient consultations at St Vincent's Medical Center
Outpatient office including outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment, STDs and travel medicine
System-wide collaboration with over 25 ID physician colleagues
Post graduate medical education for residents as well as medical students
Appointment to Quinnipiac University at the Assistant Professor level
No primary care
Active Hospitalist program to care for inpatients
Shared call with other ID physicians

BC/BE Infectious disease physician licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of CT.

Qualifications - External
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certification in Infectious Disease
- Eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience
- Prior leadership experience (e.g., Section Chief, Medical Director)
- Experience in a multi-site health system
BC/BE Infectious disease physician licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of CT.
