HIGHLIGHTS

  • Outpatient-focused Palliative Medicine practice with opportunity for periods on our inpatient consultation service
  • The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated strong emphasis on oncology and cancer-focused palliative care
  • Join a collaborative team of 8 Palliative Medicine physicians and 4 APPs
  • Teach and mentor two Hospice & Palliative Medicine fellows annually
  • No in-house call with a shared remote call rotation
  • Practice at the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Western North Carolina
  • Collaborate within the renowned J. Paul Sticht Center on Healthy Aging and Alzheimer's Prevention, offering opportunities for academic engagement, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • EPIC EMR
  • Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
  • Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature

TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school (M.D./D.O.).
  • Completion of an accredited residency program and board certified in residency.
  • Completion of a Palliative Medicine fellowship at an ACGME-accredited institution.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Palliative Medicine
  • Current or eligible for North Carolina Medical License
  • Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing
