Locums Cardiology Physician in Fort Smith, Arkansas - Block Schedule, Inpatient Only

Work a 7-on, 7-off block schedule providing inpatient cardiology coverage with day shifts and in-house call. This assignment offers a broad cardiology case mix supported by advanced practice providers.

Highlights:

• Inpatient-only cardiology practice
• Day shifts with in-house call
• No resident or teaching supervision required

Practice & Cases:

• Inpatient cardiology hospitalist coverage
• Non-invasive cardiology including echocardiography, TEE, nuclear cardiology, and STEMI care
• Diagnostic invasive procedures including cardiac catheterization, PA catheter placement, IABP placement, and heart biopsy
• Supported by 2 to 3 Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners

Schedule:

• 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. call-only coverage
• 7 days on, 7 days off
• In-house call with a 15-minute response time
• Approximately 10 phone consults and 5 admissions while on call

Requirements:

• Must be an MD or DO
• Arkansas medical license required
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology
• ACLS certification required

Logistics:

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage reimbursement provided
• Travel arrangements covered for the assignment
