Facility:
This well-established medical center is a Level 1 Trauma Center that houses a comprehensive Behavioral Health Division providing a spectrum of care for both children and adults. The facility features a 44-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit and a 16-bed child and adolescent inpatient unit, supported by a large multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, and clinical assistants.

Job Details:

• Full-time, in-person 1.0 FTE position with a 14 on/14 off rotation schedule
• 7-day service coverage model with hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Overnight and weekend call shared among physician pool, averaging once per week while on service
• Provide telehealth services to critical access hospitals in the surrounding area
• Manage care of psychiatric patients in the emergency department, including leading care rounds, triage, and evaluation
• Provide consultation services to a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Join a collaborative team of 16 adult and 5 child and adolescent psychiatrists
• Work alongside doctoral level psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychotherapists, RNs, and clinical assistants
• Participate in a broad spectrum of behavioral health services including inpatient psychiatric care, consult-liaison, emergency psychiatry, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization services, and outpatient behavioral health clinic
• Collaborate with an integrated pharmacist team including a Hospitalist and Pharmacist
• Interest in ECT procedures is a plus as the program aims to restart services
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry required
