Physician - Neurological Surgery


Job Details:

  • Endovascular neurosurgery call coverage only - no clinic responsibilities

  • 24/7 call coverage running from 7:00 AM on the first day through 7:00 AM on the last day of coverage

  • Two endovascular neurosurgeons dividing the month as evenly as possible, in addition to taking 4-5 days of general neurosurgery call and 3-4 days of Joplin call per month

  • Ability to take patient from call to OR/IR as needed

  • First opening runs from 7:00 AM on a Thursday through 7:00 AM the following Monday

  • Preferred availability of 7-10 days per month, though may not be required every month

  • Support staff includes a dedicated Stroke Team

  • Level 1 Trauma Facility

  • Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

  • Required skills include: Cerebrovascular (Open and Endovascular), Aneurysm clipping, and Endovascular procedures

  • Preferred skills include: Carotid or Vertebral artery surgery and Placement of ICP monitors

  • Fellowship training required
