Infectious Disease Physician

We are seeking a qualified physician to join our team of infectious disease specialists at WCS Healthcare Partners. This position is available due to the need to replace two of our esteemed colleagues. Join a dynamic team dedicated to providing top-notch infectious disease care in the Northern Hudson Valley region.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of 3 fellowship-trained ID physicians and 1 Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• Role is 80% inpatient, typically 4 inpatient days plus 0.5 1 day outpatient per week.
• Work schedule is Monday Friday with a half-day of dedicated administrative time weekly.
• Weekend coverage is included, involving inpatient rounding.
• Provide ID services for Northern Hudson Valley Hospitals.
• Physicians usually cover one primary hospital, providing cross-coverage only for vacations or illness; NP rotates among sites.
• Hospital patient volume ranges from 5 20 per day; call is 1:4, with occasional weekend hospital visits.
• Group also provides travel medicine and operates from one clinic in Kingston.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases.
• Valid medical license to practice in the state.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
