The facility features a Level 2 Trauma designation, a NICU Level III nursery, onsite lab and ultrasound capabilities, and a collaborative OB/GYN practice environment with strong clinical staff support including CMAs, LPNs, and RNs providing one-on-one support per provider.

Physician - OB/GYN

Job Details:
  • Locum to Permanent OB/GYN Physician (MD/DO) opportunity covering medical leave from May 1, 2026 through August 31, 2026
  • Practice setting includes both office and hospital/call coverage for OB/GYN
  • Office hours 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with an average of 25-30 scheduled patients per day
  • 24-hour call coverage managed through Perfect Serve with a 1 in 4 call ratio
  • Practice consists of 4 physicians and 5 midwives with 3 exam rooms per provider
  • Practice breakdown: approximately 90% low risk obstetrics, 10% high risk obstetrics, and 20% gynecology
  • Approximately 10% of patients are C-section cases
  • 1-4 gynecological surgeries per day depending on case time required
  • Required obstetrics procedures include: low risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I/screening for viability)
  • Required labor and delivery procedures include: routine vaginal delivery, low forceps, decision-making for C-section, complicated deliveries including C-section, breech, multiple births, and abruptions, VBACs, and repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
  • Required gynecology procedures include: office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP), surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic), and operative/major procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOAs
  • EMR/documentation system: EPC
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN required
  • Active Virginia license or willingness to obtain required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation (pulled within 30 days)
  • Clean background required; candidates with pending malpractice claims cannot be accepted
  • Provider must be local; only mileage reimbursement is available
  • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days after approved candidate is submitted to the onboarding team

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
