This community-based hospital is a well-established healthcare institution offering full-spectrum women's health care in a collaborative and physician-respected environment. The facility features a 7-bed birth center with onsite lab and ultrasound capabilities, a 10-room clinic with dedicated support staff, and access to comprehensive GYN equipment including colposcope, LEEP, and D&C tools, all supported by an experienced team of CNMs and medical assistants.

Job Details:
  • Locum tenens OB/GYN opportunity beginning August 15th, 2026 with varying coverage dates
  • Call-only practice setting with 24-hour call shifts (8a-8a) and 12-hour call shifts (8a-8p or 8p-8a)
  • Average of 14-16 scheduled clinic patients per day with 3-5 GYN surgeries per week
  • Practice consists of approximately 50% low risk and 50% high risk obstetrics, with 60% gynecology
  • Approximately 25% of patients require cesarean section delivery
  • Manage low risk pregnancies including histories of twins, toxemia, and pyelonephritis
  • Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
  • Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds including Level I/Screening (viability)
  • Handle routine deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and decision-making for c-sections
  • Manage complicated deliveries including c-sections, breech, multiple births, and abruptions
  • Provide VBAC management and repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
  • Perform office and minor gynecology procedures including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP
  • Perform open surgical gynecology procedures
  • Perform laparoscopic diagnostic and minor procedures including tubal ligation, LOAs, and chromal tubation
  • Perform operative and major laparoscopic procedures including ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOAs
  • Documentation completed via Cerner Community Works EMR
  • Active Vermont license or IMLC including Vermont required; IMLC candidates welcome
  • Board certification in OB/GYN required with completion of accredited U.S. or Canadian residency
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
  • Travel reimbursement available including flight, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rate; hotel accommodations available at discounted organizational rates

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
