Pediatric - Developmental/Behavioral Physician

Position Overview:

  • We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join a well-established outpatient behavioral health practice serving a diverse patient population. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive psychiatric care in a supportive outpatient setting.

Schedule:

  • Full-time preferred.
  • Monday - Friday.
  • Standard daytime hours.
  • Option to work a 32-hour (4-day) schedule.
  • No weekend or on-call responsibilities mentioned.

Compensation & Incentives:

Position Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Psychiatry.
  • Active, unrestricted California Medical License (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Active, unrestricted DEA registration.
  • Clean malpractice history.
  • Experience treating pediatric behavioral health patients is preferred (providers seeing children as young as five years old are highly desired, although other pediatric age ranges will be considered).
  • Full-time availability preferred.

Clinical Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and ongoing care for patients with behavioral and mental health conditions, including:

  • Anxiety Disorders.
  • Substance Use Disorders.
  • Trauma-related behavioral health concerns.

Practice Environment:

  • Outpatient-only setting.
  • Average patient volume of approximately 7 patients per day.
  • Modern EHR with AI-assisted documentation and dictation tools.
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary care model.
  • Clinical Support.

Providers are supported by:

  • Medical Assistants.
  • Registered Nurses.
  • Behavioral Health Clinicians.
  • Referral Coordinators.
  • Medical Records Team.
  • Front Office Staff.
  • Billing & Coding Team.
  • On-site Pharmacy Services.

The behavioral health team works closely with primary care providers and licensed behavioral health professionals to provide integrated patient care.
