Position Offers:

• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Competitive compensation: $225 000 base ($300 000 with bonuses) (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients with suspected sleep disorders through detailed clinical assessments, history-taking, and physical examinations
• Interpret polysomnography (PSG), home sleep apnea tests (HSAT), and other sleep-related diagnostic studies to guide treatment decisions
• Manage Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy, including titration, troubleshooting, and long-term adherence optimization
• Diagnose and manage obstructive, central, and complex sleep apnea using guideline-based approaches and individualized care plans
• Assess and treat narcolepsy, hypersomnia, and other central disorders of hypersomnolence, including medication management and follow-up monitoring
• Evaluate insomnia and coordinate cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) and other non-pharmacologic interventions
• Collaborate closely with pulmonology, neurology, psychiatry, and other specialties to coordinate care for patients with complex comorbid conditions
• Provide patient and family counseling on sleep hygiene, lifestyle modifications, and long-term management strategies

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with completed residency in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Neurology, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or a related specialty
• Completed ACGME-accredited Sleep Medicine fellowship (or equivalent) required
• Board certified in primary specialty, with Board Certification/Eligibility in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine
• Current or eligible unrestricted Texas medical licensure
• Demonstrated competence interpreting polysomnography and managing CPAP/PAP therapies, with strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
