Hematology/Oncology Physician
Join a dedicated healthcare team at a facility in Pendleton, Oregon, renowned for its commitment to outpatient care. We are seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Board Certified Physician to provide support 3 days per week for a duration of 9-12 months. You will play a crucial role in managing outpatient care and directing the chemotherapy program.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide direct outpatient care and support for a chemotherapy program.
- Perform necessary procedures, including bone marrow biopsies.
- Manage a patient load of 15-18 patients per day.
- Conduct 1-3 consults per week.
- Collaborate with trained ARNPs and nursing staff in patient care.
- Utilize EMR systems including ECW (EClinical Works) and Meditech.
- Board Certified Medical Oncology or Board Eligible (0-5 years post-residency) - REQUIRED
- Board Certified in Hematology - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Active Oregon Medical License - HIGHLY PREFERRED (will accept IMLC and non-licensed candidates, must obtain Oregon license during credentialing)
- Completion of residency/fellowship in relevant specialty - REQUIRED
- Other Certifications: BLS - REQUIRED, DEA during credentialing
- Clean background/malpractice history - HIGHLY PREFERRED
- Active Oregon Medical License or eligibility to obtain one during credentialing.
- Board Certification in Medical Oncology is a must.
- Board Certification in Hematology is highly preferred.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- DEA registration required during credentialing process.
