• Location: Lafayette, LA
• Start Date: ASAP or upon credentialing
• End Date/Duration: Permanent
• Shift: 3 FTE model with 2 on / 1 off rotation
• Hours/week: Approximately 40 hours/week
• Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
• Licenses/Certifications: Required LA medical licensure, Board Certified or Eligible in Anesthesiology, DC or MD degree
• Experience: Prior cardiac anesthesia experience preferred but not required

What You ll Do

• Provide anesthesia care for cardiac and structural heart surgeries, including complex cases
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a busy, high-volume cardiac program
• Participate in ongoing training and educational initiatives
• Support the perioperative care of patients in a Level II Trauma Center
• Assist with occasional internal moonlighting opportunities to supplement income
• Contribute to a facility recognized for excellence in breast imaging, cancer treatment, and stroke care

What You Need

• Current medical license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
• Certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology through ABMS or equivalent
• Ability to handle approximately 500 cardiac cases annually
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Preferred: prior experience in cardiac anesthesia, structural heart procedures
