Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
The practice is centered around a modern outpatient clinic, featuring a premier infusion center with 15 private bays designed to ensure patient safety and comfort. The clinical infrastructure includes a 17-bed inpatient oncology unit, daily multidisciplinary rounds, weekly tumor boards, and access to two radiation centers. The physician will see 13-18 patients per day, focusing on delivering comprehensive cancer care with the support of a robust team.
Schedule and Assignment Details
This locum opportunity starts as soon as possible, with the current need for coverage from 9/29. The typical work schedule is from 8 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday through Friday. The assignment duration is currently open-ended, offering flexibility and the potential for a more permanent role.
Support and Work Environment
The physician will be part of a multidisciplinary team with comprehensive support from dedicated RNs, pharmacy liaisons, research coordinators, and 24/7 anesthesia coverage. Our facility provides an enriching professional environment where collaboration is key, and patient care is prioritized.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology (highly preferred), or Board Eligible.
- Completion of an accredited post-graduate training program.
- Active California medical license required.
- Active BLS and DEA certification required.
- Clean medical practice and background record required.
