Job Responsibilities:.
• Hiring a Hospitalist/Nocturnist to deliver high-quality inpatient medical care for the Indian Health Service at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Chinle, AZ.
• This role places you at the heart of a tribal community health mission, providing direct patient care to an underserved population in the Navajo Nation.
• You'll work as part of a dedicated clinical team committed to improving health outcomes for patients who depend on this facility as their primary source of hospital-level care.
• Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning for hospitalized patients
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions presenting in an inpatient setting
• Coordinate care with specialist consultants, nursing staff, and ancillary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions
• Respond to rapid-response and code events, providing stabilization and emergency management as needed during assigned shift
• Procedures: Prefer LP, paracentesis, thoracentesis, central lines
• Procedure backup: Surgery and ER available 24/7. Anesthesia performs intubations and is back up for LP's. RT available for ventilated patients 24/7
Required Documents:
• Active Physician license
• Active BLS/CPR Certification.
• Active DEA.
