Locums Pain Management Physician (Anesthesiology) - Raleigh, North CarolinaAvailability

• Start Date: As soon as credentialed (approximately 1 week)
• Assignment Length: 3 months with option to extend
• Coverage Needed: 4-6 shifts per month
• Schedule:
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• No Nights
• No Weekends
• No Call
• No Holidays

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Active North Carolina Medical License (required before credentialing can begin)
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) preferred
• Interventional Pain Fellowship Training preferred

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform 25-30 interventional pain procedures per day
• No new patient evaluations
• No follow-up visits
• No medication management or prescription responsibilities

Required Procedures

• Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections
• Facet injections and radiofrequency ablations (RFA)
• Sacroiliac (SI) joint injections
• Joint injections
• Spinal cord stimulator trials
• Kyphoplasty
• Stellate, celiac, lumbar sympathetic, superior hypogastric, ganglion impar, gasserian, and occipital nerve blocks

Required Skills

• High-volume interventional pain procedure experience
• Comfortable performing 25-30 procedures daily
• Experience with low-dose opioid management and compliance protocols
• Proficient with electronic health records
• Strong communication and bedside manner
• Team-oriented and collaborative
