We re currently seeking a Metabolic Geneticist to join our amazing team.
Details of the Physician opening:
- Anticipated start date: 10/19/2026
- Salary Range: $144-$155/hour
- Anticipated duration of assignment: 26 weeks ( Locums to PERM or perm)
- Anticipated schedule: Monday - Thursday (8A - 5P); Night & Weekend Call

Job Details:
- Support staff: genetic counselors, genetic nurse, genetic counseling assistant
- Coverage Type: outpatient clinic + inpatient consults+ call
- Facility Type: academic/hospital based outpatient clinic
- Practice Setting: outpatient with inpatient consults
- EMR/Charting Software: EPIC
- Avg. Daily Census: 4-5 per day, may increase with additional provider
- Beds: 195 beds
- Patient Age Group: primary peds with occasional adult
- Procedures: General genetics evaluations, biochemical/metabolic disorder management, inpatient consults (PICU, NICU, pediatric ward)
Qualifications:
- State License(s): MO and IL (for occasional telehealth consults), will accept licensure candidates
- BC in genetics required
- Certifications: BLS
- CSR Req d: Yes, BNDD
- DEA Req d?: Yes
- 2-5 years minimum experience required
- Strong diagnostic skills in in genetics, experience with metabolic conditions, ability to collaborate with genetic counselors REQUIRED
