Board Certified - Neurology - Behavioral
Job Details:
- Full-time Behavioral/Cognitive Neurologist position with a target start date of Fall 2026, with flexibility to start early 2027 for the right candidate
- Monday through Friday schedule with 100% outpatient clinical setting
- Night call coverage one to two times per month; weekend call one to two times annually
- Average of 6-8 patients per day within an adult and geriatric patient population
- Assume the Paul C. Alandt Endowed Chair of Behavioral Neurology, supporting efforts to reduce the burden of dementia and related neurodegenerative conditions
- Provide clinical and research leadership to the Neurology team
- Further develop and grow the established Center for Cognitive Health
- Participate in active clinical trials and neurology research with a major focus on translational research
- Provide educational support for Graduate Medical Education, including mentoring medical students, neurology residents, and behavioral neurology fellows
- Tenure-track academic appointment available for qualifying candidates through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Wayne State School of Medicine
- Board Certification in Neurology required
- Active Michigan State license required
- Behavioral Neurology Fellowship required
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a behavioral/cognitive neurologist required
- Previous management experience preferred
- ACGME/AOA approved Neurology Residency required
- Required certifications include BLS, DEA, CSR, and CDS
- EMR platform is EPIC
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90-120 days
