Client is seeking an experienced Addiction Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric and addiction-focused care at our South Amboy and/or Union, New Jersey locations.
This role is ideal for a psychiatrist with experience treating substance use disorders, addiction, and complex co-occurring psychiatric conditions. Candidates do not need to be board certified in Addiction Medicine; however, demonstrated clinical experience with addiction populations, medication management, and MAT is strongly preferred.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management for adult patients.
Treat individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Provide addiction-focused psychiatric care, including MAT support when clinically appropriate.
Manage complex psychiatric and dual-diagnosis populations.
Collaborate with therapists, nurses, case managers, APPs, and other clinical team members.
Participate in treatment planning and continuity-of-care initiatives.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Provide evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric care within an addiction-focused behavioral health setting.
Provide supervision or clinical collaboration with NPs/PAs, if applicable to the site structure.
