• Setting: Hospital-Based Labor & Delivery
• Coverage Reason: Short staffing due to two FTE vacancies and upcoming maternity leave
• EMR: Epic
• L&D Beds: 10
• Nursery Level: III
• Hospital Trauma Level: I
• Labor & Delivery Level: IV

• OB residents onsite
• Residents available to first assist
• Dedicated nursing staff
• Collaborative practice with certified nurse midwives
• Onsite laboratory
• Onsite ultrasound

• High-Risk OB: 80%
• Low-Risk OB: 20%
• Gynecology: 10%
• C-Section Rate: Approximately 25%

• High- and low-risk pregnancy management
• Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)
• OB ultrasound interpretation
• Level I & II OB ultrasounds
• Viability and anatomy scans

• Vaginal deliveries
• Low forceps deliveries
• C-section decision making
• Complicated C-sections
• Breech deliveries
• Multiple gestation deliveries
• Placental abruptions
• VBAC management
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations

• Ectopic pregnancy management
• Oophorectomy
• Ovarian cystectomy
• Extensive lysis of adhesions (LOA)
• Tubal ligation
• Chromotubation
• Open gynecologic surgery
• Office procedures including:
  • IUD placement
  • Cystoscopy
  • Colposcopy
