Shift Details
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM onsite coverage
Potential night call coverage from 4:30 PM - 8:00 AM
Weekend coverage possible
Night call coverage not required every night
Requirements
Board Certified Cardiology
Active Nebraska and Iowa license or IMLC with LOQ in hand at time of submission
Active ACLS, BLS, DEA - Highly Preferred
Must be able to cover across 4 sites
Clean malpractice/background - Highly Preferred

Assignment Details
Coverage across 4 metro campus locations
Hub and spoke model with hub being an academic medical center
Coverage includes 4 hospitals for call and possible ambulatory visits
FTE: 1.0
EMR: Epic
Inpatient rounds supported by APPs
Reason for coverage: Gaps in coverage
Night call coverage services all 4 sites
Low volume physician-to-physician calls during night coverage
Most night consult calls are evaluated the following day, very rare to come onsite during night call
Fellows take first call coverage at the academic medical center location
App support is during the day with inpatient rounds (weekdays only, no weekend support). No APP support while on night call
ED physicians and APPs assist with patient evaluation overnight
Calls are typically consults, ED admissions, or inpatient status changes
