Job description:
We are seeking seeking a skilled and patient-focused Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our growing surgical practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated surgeon to provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment supported by experienced clinical and administrative teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong surgical expertise, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care while building lasting relationships with patients, referring dentists, and healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive oral and maxillofacial examinations, evaluations, and treatment planning.
  • Diagnose and manage conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, head, and neck.
  • Perform surgical procedures, including:
  • Dental and complex tooth extractions
  • Impacted tooth and wisdom tooth removal
  • Dental implant placement
  • Bone grafting and ridge augmentation
  • Oral pathology and biopsy procedures
  • Pre-prosthetic and reconstructive procedures
  • Management of facial trauma and maxillofacial injuries
  • Administer and manage local anesthesia, IV sedation, and general anesthesia in accordance with applicable regulations and practice protocols.
  • Evaluate and manage surgical complications, infections, pain, and post-operative recovery.
Qualifications:
  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Active North Carolina dental license or eligibility to obtain prior to employment.
  • Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
  • Strong surgical, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
