Job description:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong surgical expertise, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care while building lasting relationships with patients, referring dentists, and healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive oral and maxillofacial examinations, evaluations, and treatment planning.
- Diagnose and manage conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, head, and neck.
- Perform surgical procedures, including:
- Dental and complex tooth extractions
- Impacted tooth and wisdom tooth removal
- Dental implant placement
- Bone grafting and ridge augmentation
- Oral pathology and biopsy procedures
- Pre-prosthetic and reconstructive procedures
- Management of facial trauma and maxillofacial injuries
- Administer and manage local anesthesia, IV sedation, and general anesthesia in accordance with applicable regulations and practice protocols.
- Evaluate and manage surgical complications, infections, pain, and post-operative recovery.
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Active North Carolina dental license or eligibility to obtain prior to employment.
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
- Strong surgical, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
