- Duration: Approximately 56 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 32 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 16-hour day shifts
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $8,860 - $9,340
- Specialty Areas: General Anesthesia, OB Anesthesia, and Pediatric Anesthesia
- Case Types: General, Neuro, and Orthopedic Surgery
- Charting System: Epic
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesiology
- Current physician license eligibility in Maryland or ability to obtain licensure
- Board certification required
- Ability to supervise CRNAs in a collaborative anesthesia care team model
- At least 1 year of anesthesiology experience required
- Experience with general, OB, and pediatric anesthesia preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, procedural confidence, and excellent communication skills
- Direct and coordinate activities in the anesthesia department
- Provide medical management for patients undergoing surgery and other procedures
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and care plans with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor patient physiological status throughout procedures
- Perform clinical interventions as needed to support patient safety and quality outcomes
- Work collaboratively with the anesthesia care team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
