Cardiology Physician

ATC Locums is seeking a Board-Certified General Cardiologist for an ongoing locum opportunity serving four hospitals across the Omaha metro beginning in October 2026 . This assignment offers a balanced mix of daytime inpatient coverage with low-volume night call, excellent clinical support, and the opportunity for long-term continuity.

Opportunity Highlights

• Practice Setting: Academic hub-and-spoke health system with inpatient General Cardiology coverage and occasional ambulatory visits
• Coverage Dates: October December 2026 with anticipated ongoing need beyond December
• Schedule:
  • Day Coverage: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
  • Night Call: 4:30 PM 8:00 AM (not every night)
• Patient Volume: Average inpatient census of approximately 5 8 patients per campus
• Procedures: General Cardiology, Echocardiography (ECHO), and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
• Call: Low-volume consultative call across four hospitals. Most overnight consults are evaluated the following day, with fellows, hospitalists, emergency physicians, and APPs providing first-line assessment.
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: Weekday inpatient APP support, in-house cardiology fellows at the academic hub, and hospital-based APP/physician coverage overnight.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Cardiology
• Active Nebraska and Iowa licenses or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) with Letter of Qualification available
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA preferred
