OB/GYN Physician Locums Job in Kentucky 24 Hour Call Beginning ASAP - Ongoing Assignment

Ongoing coverage needed
6-7 shifts per month with potential for additional coverage
Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days (expedited credentialing available based on need)
Shift Description
24-hour call coverage, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
In-house and beeper/phone call responsibilities
Requirements
Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)
Kentucky medical license or active IMLC
BLS certification
DEA license
Required Procedures / Skills
Routine vaginal delivery
Low forceps delivery
Decision-making for C-sections
Management of complicated deliveries, including C-sections, breech deliveries, multiple births, and abruptions
VBACs
Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations

Practice Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-Based
Patient Population: Adult
100% inpatient coverage
Average patient volume: 1-6 patients per day
Providers needed: 1-3
Reason for coverage: EMTALA call coverage
Onsite labs and ultrasound available
Hospital labor and delivery equipment available
Low C-section volume
Midwives take call and deliver their own patients
Nursery Level II
Approximately 700-800 deliveries annually
Approximately 140-190 labor and delivery triage visits per month
