Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Psychiatrist to join a highly collaborative pediatric primary care practice. This role focuses on providing psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and ongoing medication management for pediatric patients with a wide range of behavioral health conditions.

The practice serves patients from birth through age 22 and operates within an integrated care model alongside pediatricians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments

  • Diagnose and manage complex pediatric psychiatric conditions

  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications

  • Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care

  • Collaborate with pediatric providers and behavioral health clinicians

  • Participate in care coordination and interdisciplinary discussions

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and teaching opportunities (optional)

Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Psychiatry

  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents

  • Comfortable with independent medication management

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

New graduates are welcome if they have strong clinical training and are confident managing psychiatric care.

Schedule
  • Full-time: 32 clinical hours per week

  • Flexible scheduling (no fixed shifts)

  • Clinic hours:

    • Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

    • Friday: 7/8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    • Weekend hours available

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: TBD (based on exp and interview)

  • 4 weeks paid vacation + 1 week CME

Additional Details
  • Not productivity-based

  • Typical patient schedule:

    • New evaluations: 45 minutes

    • Follow-ups: 30 minutes

  • No routine call required (unless triple board certified in Pediatrics & Psychiatry)

  • Expected start: ASAP (credentialing takes 3-6 months)
