Physician - Urology


Job Details:

  • Seeking a Board Certified Urologist for long-term coverage with a 1 year or longer commitment

  • 2 week on/2 week off rotation with flexible dates

  • Coverage consists of Monday through Friday clinic and OR shifts

  • Typical schedule consists of 4 clinic days with 1 OR day each week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • No call coverage required

  • Approximately 20 patient encounters per shift

  • Da Vinci Xi Robot available on site

  • Facility lodging with amenities available during scheduled shifts

  • Michigan License, Michigan CDS, and Michigan DEA required

  • Current board certification or board eligible (American Board of Urology or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery - Urological Surgery) required

  • Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA-accredited residency/fellowship or foreign training in Urology required

  • At least 50 urological procedures reflective of the scope of privileges requested during the past 12 months required, or successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency/clinical fellowship within the past 12 months

  • ACLS certification required

  • Required skills include general urology (adult required, pediatric preferred), laparoscopic surgeries, ureteroscopy, renal and bladder ultrasound with biopsy, TRUS biopsies, and fertility work-up

  • Preferred skills include nephrectomy, prostatectomy, robotic surgery, incontinence procedures, and pediatric urology

  • Facility:

The facility includes a dedicated urology clinic space equipped with modern technology and operates as a Level 3 trauma center. With 25 beds in the department and a commitment to providing comprehensive urological care to the surrounding region, this facility offers a well-supported environment for delivering high-quality patient care.
