Position Summary
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Physician with experience in primary care to provide on-site medical services on a part-time basis in a correctional healthcare setting. The role serves an adult male population and offers a flexible weekday schedule.
Both a phone interview and an on-site interview/tour will be required.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide medical care using nationally recognized treatment standards
• Conduct medical examinations and complete evaluations, reports, and clinical documentation in an electronic health record
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing
• Prescribe and manage medications
• Complete medical reviews and reclassifications as required
• Refer patients for specialized care when appropriate
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare and administrative teams
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, including peer review
• Perform duties in accordance with professional scope of practice and applicable regulations
Caseload: Up to 2.5 patients per hour
Qualifications
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• Active Ohio Medical License
• Experience providing primary care services
• DEA Certification (required for assignment)
• Healthcare-level BLS/CPR Certification
• Master s Degree or higher (MD/DO required for practice)
• Must reside in Ohio
