What You'll Do
Under the supervision of a licensed physician, you will:
- Conduct overnight polysomnographic (sleep) studies with precision and attention to detail
- Monitor and collect high-quality, artifact-free diagnostic data
- Analyze sleep study results to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Adjust and manage respiratory support devices for patients with suspected sleep-related breathing disorders
- Provide compassionate patient care and education throughout overnight testing
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure exceptional outcomes
- Perform EEGs in conjunction with sleep studies when needed
Education & Experience
- 1-3 years of sleep lab and/or respiratory therapy or a related field clinical experience preferred
- Training or experience in sleep laboratory technology, respiratory therapy, or a related healthcare discipline
- CPR certification required
- ACLS preferred
- RPSGT credential required, or candidates must be actively enrolled in or have successfully completed one of the following approved pathways:
- A-STEP Online Self-Study Modules
- CAAHEP-accredited Sleep Technology program
- Electro neurodiagnostic (END) Program
- Respiratory Therapy add-on track for Sleep Technology
- Meaningful work that improves patient health and quality of life
