Surgical Technologist II - Operating Room Full Time

Schedule: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) 10-hour shifts Variable weekend on-call rotation as required

What You'll Do

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique
  • Prepare and maintain operating rooms with the instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for each procedure
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of surgical instruments and supplies
  • Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments in accordance with infection control and hospital safety standards
  • Handle medications under the direct supervision of the surgeon or registered nurse
  • Participate in department meetings, ongoing training, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative, patient-focused surgical environment committed to quality care
What We Are Looking For

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience or Surgical Technologist certification
  • Ability to independently scrub a variety of surgical specialties
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Knowledge of orthopedic and spine care best practices, including:
    • Musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology
    • Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS)
    • Pain management
    • Patient mobility and safety
    • Prevention of DVT, infection, and pressure injuries
    • Glucose management
    • Compartment syndrome
