Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care / Step-Down Unit - Multiple Shifts Available

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system in Wausau, WI to hire Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Critical Care (ICU) / Step-Down Units

This unit cares for a complex patient population including cardiothoracic, post-surgical, and telemetry patients-offering exposure to ICU-level skills in a structured, team-driven environment.

Schedule: Full-Time Part-Time Supplemental

What You'll Do:

  • Provide care for patients requiring higher acuity monitoring (drips, chest tubes, central lines)
  • Collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting
  • Manage frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes

What We're Looking For:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Certification in specialty preferred
  • RN license (WI or compact eligible & Trauma nursing core course
  • BLS required (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred based on primary department
  • Open to new grads and experienced nurses
  • 3+ years practicing as an RN in a comparative setting for experienced nurses
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
